For the ‘Traces’ Collection, a new sole was designed made from a rubber consisting of up to 30% of recycled materials from production leftovers.

The second challenge was to design a pair of Trippen shoes. Again, we received fantastic designs and were happy that in the end, the social media Trippen community chose the winner Stephanie Edelhofer from our favourites!

Suddenly you were missing the walk to work and the casual direct conversation with your colleagues, but also the feeling of having done something, a daily routine. To make this time a little more pleasant for our customers, we invited all of you to take part in various challenges.

Reputed for her almost scientific approach to fashion, Dutch designer Iris Van Herpen has been pushing the boundaries of Haute Couture for a while already, and her experimental take on fashion attracted many talented people alike. Needless to say, a new, exclusive collaboration with Trippen made sense: the focus was set on drawing parallel lines between these two creative universes by translating the technical prowess of Van Herpen's eponymous Haute Couture line into Trippen's design DNA, which is rooted in craftsmanship and innovation.

I spoke with Anna about her HYDRA project where we discussed some of her main values such as environmental responsibility, the connection between art and fashion and most importantly the collaboration between HYDRA x Trippen ready to be launched on the 14th January at p100 in Berlin.

Trippen was born during the sustainability movement of the early nineties, and continues its innovative journey still today. One of the steps that Trippen has just introduced is to bring more transparency to their development process, with symbols to explain the sustainability credentials of every shoe. A conversation with co-founder and designer Michael Oehler and designer Claudia Hoess about the story behind their journey in creating sustainable shoes.

This Event was the first edition of an event series curated by Jakub Kubica and Oli Schrei Doch (ORDEN) taking place at Trippen’s project space P100.

Five years ago, designers Fanny Lawaetz and Idan Gilony created a fashion brand called UY. Ever since they have been building a strong local community and the brand has been gaining momentum. One year ago, they have moved to a studio and shop in Berlin-Neukölln, where they are also having a small production. Jakub Kubica, Art Director of Trippen, visited them to talk about what’s new for the brand, and about their collaboration with Trippen.

On 2nd July Trippen celebrated the opening of the exhibition ‚Building site‘ at the Trippen Concept Store during Berlin Fashion Week. The exhibition is inspired by Trippen’s new Autumn/Winter 19/20 collection.

The fashion designer Michael Sontag has an ongoing collaboration with Trippen. I was intrigued to meet Michael in his small studio in the heart of Kreuzberg. He welcomed me warmly before we spoke candidly about how his work counterbalances the standards of the global fashion industry, and about his collaboration with Trippen.

Evelyn got my attention 6 years ago with her first bigger project “Ecce Homo” that has been widely spread around the world and won a couple of awards including prestigious Hasselblad Masters and Broncolor GenNext awards. Ever since she continues discovering new topics and being unstoppably productive with her projects.

Our models had the opportunity to visit the Trippen production near Berlin. Here they chose their model, put together leather and sole colours and saw how their shoes were produced.

Trippen's Exhibition „Balance“ Inspired by Trippen’s SS19 collection

Inspired by the winter collection we created the "slow speed" exhibition in our Project Space P100. These will run until January 7th 2019.

A quarter century. Throughout the evolution, this remains true: the more things change, the more they stay the same. Upon the occasion of our 25th anniversary, Trippen invites you to step inside its aesthetic world, and to witness its journey over the decades.

As part of the Berlin Fashion Week, Australian-born singer-songwriter Mikey Woodbridge aka MIKEY. staged a performance in Trippens Project Space P100 on the 5th of July 2018. In its current hometown Berlin, MIKEY.

Trippen and Herrmann Germann Conspirators present the group exhibition "Walk the Talk", opening simultaneous with the Berlin Gallery Weekend and featuring works by Jonas Baumann, Fritz Bornstück, Daniel Karrer, Fee Kleiss and Sebastian Utzni.

On the 15th of March 2018, Trippen opened the Project Space at Potsdamer Strasse 100 with the launch of the SS18 collection.

Back in 1993 when Trippen started out, civil war was raging in the former Yugoslavia and it was young men from the Balkans fleeing military service who provided much of the energy and driving force behind our emerging firm; brightening up the daily routine for us and our 4 trainees in the little Berlin workshop.

We presented the new Trippen Concept Store and Project Space P100 with a pop up exhibition in collaboration with Michael Sontag during Berlin Fashion Week.
