Holz

Our wooden shoes are made from indigenous timber. We use alder, beech and poplar. The nature of the design determines which wood is used. Alder wood, which we use for most of our wooden soles, is relatively tough and robust and has a beautiful grain. Poplar wood is extremely light, but also sensitive. As a result, we only use it for our high platform soles. Beech is very hard and robust and thus also suitable for unusual designs like the “Hopper” sole. Altogether there are more than 50 different soles. Our wooden soles are unvarnished, which allows them to absorb moisture and makes them comfortable to wear.
